Brain scan tomorrow, 26th Aug…

So, will they will find something and treat it, find something and not know how to treat it, not find something and not know?  Either way its still a worry.  Its going to be a long night, strange dreams due, in fact soon I might do a seven day diary of my dreams, oh dear!!!

Sarcoidosis and the benefits system.

Benefits messing with me again, do I rip a lung out and slap it on the desk? Yeah, im walking hard, trying to ride my bike, trying to get back into music, im trying to take on my illness to get on with life.  If I’m trying to get on and progress in life best possible then would it not be in the best interests of the Employment and Support allowance to support me?  The benefits system in the UK is a disgrace…

Sarcoidosis sufferer.

Unsure how to start this, Friday 15th October my lung biopsy confirmed I had Sarcoidosis…

In 2000 my dentist could not fathom out what was going on with my gums though he did ask if I had diabetes? As my breath sometimes smelt and tasted somewhat metallic-ish which are symptoms, I got checked for diabetes and was all clear. Then at the Leeds dental hospital it was mentioned that my gums seemed to be over reacting to plaque and food etc. but no further action was required. In 2001 I told my X wife something felt not right with me, was it all in my mind that I just did not feel ok but continued with work and cycling. I told all this to my boss. Read here.

Radio.

Hmmm, Local radio station is making plans for my half hour slot, 3 songs and lots of chats… Sarcoidosis is obviously being part of the chats… more info soon.

Sarcoidosis “The Thing”.

Well readers, we do now have my Facebook page Sarcoidosis “The Thing” on the left, please do click it as awareness for this condition needs to be raised, very little is known about it and far less folks have even heard of it!  C’mon just click it eh!!!

Confirmed.

Yesterday they confirmed I have Sarcoidosis, Its not reached my lungs-thankfully-but is in my Respiratory Track, no treatment for that but need my skin and joints looking at and treated, eyes seem to be managing OK but I have been advised by consultants to keep a good check on my body.  Main thing-its completely non malignant, no cancer…

Now to work out best way forward re work, house, and singing in my Bradford accent!!!

Boredom big time.

Back at Hospital on Wed morning with my eyes and then on Fri its an Endoscopic Ultrasound for my chest.  I am so completly fed up and bored-Need treatment ASAP and then get on my bike not to allow the steroids getting me FAT!!!  Fatigue is another thing though-I have never known tiredness like it.

I try get pics and videos loaded, I have also got a sketch pad and pencils to try start drawing, also the short stories to get on with, but how I would love a guitar or 3, perfect for the boredom-though concentration is also abit difficult…

Sick pay is now SSP and not too brill to say the least, when treatment starts I hope keeping healthy and fit on my bike will enhance my recovery-It will work out fine.

Nearly there.

It now appears that I have Sarcoidosis and BiLateral Uveitis…  Need more tests but very close-Prefer Sjogrens syndrome!!!

Getting closer now.

Went to see chest specialist, they very close tp finding out what I have got.  The X-ray shows a shadow on my chest, the CT scan has confirmed 2 ‘things’ are abnormal in my chest.

Next now is an Endoscopic Ultrasound in my chest-this will confirm what he thinks it is-and it is treatable.  All confirmed in the next few days.

My eyes now…

I have zoomed right into the screen but I can not fully make out the keys.  I have now lost some of my eyesite, I have 3 types of medications to take for a month.

The left side of my Colon was checked earlier this week, it looks ok but they do want to do a full check under sedation on the 22nd Sept, problem is-I cant read all the information on how I am to prepare  the 2days leading upto it…

Its Fri and I have appointment for my 2 Abnormal ‘somethings’ in my chest.  I am pretty sure everything is linked it will all work out OK.

Dont worry my Matt and Jacob.
