Toe being eaten?

It must never be forgotten. Sarcoidosis mimics, masks, and mutates any other condition. It does bother me more than ever that folk’s just don’t/can’t understand us. Though now I have a top? dermatology professor with me (with all the other medics!), I think the initial practice treatment on my toe looks to have failed?

Eaten alive

No wonder ‘our’ heads can get mixed up. It’s proper hard work. Today I had serious thought problems – after almost five years of fighting this thing, and the drugs, and my mind. This isn’t mind over matter, it is quite the reverse. I’m not into the ‘chin up’ crap, it isn’t like that, but appreciate the thought?

Sarcoidosis = matter over mind.

Sarcoidosis on toe!

Yesterday the professor started some treatment on my feet. Just a little at a time otherwise I wouldn’t be able to walk. We think it might be the Azathioprine as I take 50mg in the morning and 50mg at night. So, he is going to communicate with my other consultants and try find what might be the best direction for me. Mind you, my rug looks a mess!

A very curvy blonde!

Well well, my pet ducks have brought a new visitor, the blonde. Very good shape and quite a bit bigger than the others. These ducks are probably going to be life long friends of mine – part of the family eh!!!

Snow on the weir

Well what a nice capture, Low Mill Weir. Though I’m looking forward to the spring and some warmer weather, the prettiness of snow can be caught really well – but where are my ducks?

Appointment with the Professor

So, this evening it is time to have the appointment with a top dermatologist. Reason being, this time, it’s my feet. As can be seen in the following photo’s, they are being attacked. Walking can be a right problem, jeez!

A single Christmas

Christmas can be difficult for people who aren’t lucky enough to have a harmonious, traditional family set-up. Recognising that lots of people are alone at Christmas and looking out for them is the most charitable thing you can do at this time of year. Which answers a lot of my thoughts and festive problems. I haven’t had a tree, or celebrated Christmas for a very long time…

I wrote about experience

On Tuesday, that conversation I mentioned I had yesterday. I was simply stating that (in my opinion) charity should start at home. Aid to nuclear countries should stop, aid to rogue countries should be ‘properly’ investigated. I have experience of needing charity help when the welfare decided not to help me. I did understand what that ‘geezer’ was saying – there is enough wealth in the world to sort hunger etc. but come on, that will never happen?

In the United Kingdom what should happen is to stop hunger, homelessness, bedroom tax, discrimination… more help and equal rights for the none resident or ‘absent’ parent (most are not absent, the system makes them absent, just as the resident parent – usually ‘mother’ can), you get my drift. For me that is where charity starts, at home.

This geezer told me I have pretty much been taken for some kind of ride, by the Tories (I forget his exact phrasing), me, fucking hell! He said my ears would burn in an open meeting! Amongst other things he was indirectly insulting my experience. I believe his ears would bleed, in an open meeting from those who are supported by the like’s of Ssafa, The Royal British Legion and shelter. especially ex forces folks.

Hence I had to be direct in calling him a tosser and then – deservedly, a Wanker. He is the only person to have blocked me on social media.

I did call him something else, but now calm he is simply a twat!

My friend here understands me better!

It needs more…

Well, I do enjoy my doctor, we have a laugh. It seem’s he is possibly going to try and get other medics involved, even private one’s? For nine out of 10 sarcoids this systematic, frustrating, debilitating – and super important, depressing disease, well, for nine out of 10 it is self limiting and will leave on it’s own without any medication. For the rest of us – one in 10, about one in 100,000 folks (in the UK), this slowly get’s worse.

Research will not be at the top of any government and pharmaceutical company’s list as the return’s would not be worth it. So they carry on playing with us. One thing, so many tell us to keep our chin up, stay positive, be optimistic, etc. etc. Since June 2010 I have tried, it’s fucking difficult.

Slowly, but surely, it sticks nails into us…

Out of touch eh?!

Just had an amazing Facebook discussion. It started out about this peer woman and her porridge, which transformed into the UK’s welfare which transformed into world aid. I was making a simple point that charity starts at home. Just over four years ago I still believed in spreading the nations wealth much more evenly. Instead the gap has got wider. I just couldn’t get through to this twat that – for me, and pretty much everyone I know, charity starts at home. Just about his parting words before he left the conversation was that I, yes me, have been taken in by the Tory peers, me! What a fucking out of touch cunt he is…
